Hawthorne Academy Career Day
The Bexar Chapter of TSPE participated in the Career Day for Hawthorne Academy on May 21, 2009. Members presented 4 areas of engineering to the 5th, 6th, and 7th graders, exposing approximately 300 students to the world of engineering. The four engineering presentations were among 35 career presentations for the 700 students. Hawthorne Academy is public academy in the San Antonio Independent School District. Each presenter exposed about 25 students in three 25 minute sessions.
