Proclamation Breakfast & Engineer-for-a-Day
TxDOT employees Amy Ramirez, Nellie Shannon, and Don Deitch meet Highlands students at Engineer’s Week Proclamation Breakfast. The Texas Department of Transportation provided presentations and tours of various engineering sections. Students had an opportunity to learn more about transportation engineering. They toured the Survey, Laboratory, Design, Bridge, Planning, Traffic Engineering and Traffic Operations Sections.
Students listen to the bridge section presentation which included displays of different type of bridges.
Students are given an overview of the testing of paving materials.
