Speaker Biography:![]() Lamberto "Bobby" Ballí, P.E. was appointed to the Texas Board of Professional Engineers by Governor Rick Perry in 2011 and re-appointed by Governor Greg Abbott in 2016. He has served as License Committee Chairman for 6 of the last 8 years and was elected as the 2018 NCEES Southern Zone Secretary/Treasurer. Ballí, a South Texas Native, is vice president for CP&Y Inc. He is past director of public works/city engineer for the cities of McAllen, South Padre Island and Brownsville, 2012 President of the American Public Works Association - Texas Chapter and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He is also a past senior advisor of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers of San Antonio, a past board member of Leadership Brownsville, Leadership McAllen and the Brownsville Boys and Girls Club, and a past board member and RGV American Red Cross Disaster Services Chairman. He was inducted as a Luminary Honoree by the Hispanic Engineering National Achievement Awards Conference - STEM Program. Balli received a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. He currently serves on the Texas A&M Civil Engineering Advisory Council. He resides in Fair Oak Ranch with his wife Fernanda and two children, Jose Alberto and Mari-Fer. |
